Aleph conducted a mid-term evaluation of Cordaid’s Bright Future Programme in Afghanistan – an innovative incubator and accelerator programme for start-ups in Kabul. With a focus on start-ups and small enterprises working in the culture creative industries and the services industry, the programme supported young men and women with exciting new ideas.

The primary objective of this mid-term evaluation was to provide a high-level intermediary stocktaking of programme performance in order to steer approaches for the remaining two years of operation. We conducted interviews, workshops and focus groups in Kabul, in addition to a thorough review of available programme literature. Using the Aleph Impact Index, we provided a comprehensive assessment of programme performance, with a prioritised list of actionable recommendations.
