Aleph conducted a renewal evaluation for CRESPIAF, a UNESCO Category 2 Centre based in Algeria, which focuses on safeguarding intangible cultural heritage in Africa. The evaluation found that while CRESPIAF had valuable expertise, administrative and legal constraints had hindered its ability to operate effectively outside Algeria. The report recommended reforming its legal status, expanding regional partnerships, and improving communication strategiesto strengthen its impact across sub-Saharan Africa.
